Last month the Weizmann Day School, where I am privileged to serve on the board, sponsored a concert to honor the memory of Daniel Pearl.
Pearl a WSJ reporter was beheaded by terrorists in the Middle East a few years ago and his very courageous parents have used this tragedy to build a world wide movement of Music for Peace. The Daniel Pearl Foundation
In this case New Horizons a Muslim school, St. Marks an Episcopalian school and Weizmann a Jewish school performed a joint concert. The music was beautiful and the award ceremony was poignant. But the best part was the feeling that something positive was being done to combat the haters in the world. Well done to Lisa Feldman the head of school at Weizmann who organized the event.
