The Founders: Carter Braxton

Braxton was part of the Virginia aristocracy and lived an easy life. With his second wife he had at least 14 children. He did not fight in the revolution but many of his numerous descendants fought in the Civil War, almost exclusively on the Confederate side.

There were 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence and only 52 Tuesday’s in a year so to make it fit this week around July 4th when we celebrate the signing I’m going to crowd in a few more. I hope you don’t miss the Maxims and Photos too much.
