We had an interesting trip to the Olympic Peninsula with Country Walkers. One of the benefits of travel is seeing issues from different angles.

Lavender
“The difference between an ordeal and an adventure is attitude.“
On the way to the Oregon coast we went looking for lavender. We had seen one row growing near Ashland a decade or so ago. After some luck, some unlikely twists and turns and a good attitude we found Lavender Fields Forever It looked like the fields we saw in Provence a few years ago. We were allowed to pick lavender and take pictures even though they were closed.

Ironically it’s not the study of iron.
The postcard is of one of the famous McCullough bridges on the Oregon Coast. It is available free at the visitor center in Waldport, OR where ironically there was a beautiful McCullough bridge that was replaced.
