A Mystery Sign

Apparently you can’t park here if you are taller than five feet. We had no idea what NWU means but that is the Capital building in the background. It could be affirmative action for short people. (I don’t think we are supposed to say dwarf anymore.)

Democracy

“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and that they deserve to get it good and hard.”

H.L. Mencken

Hypocrisy

“If hypocrisy were a crime, there’d be no one left to run Washington.”

An unusual second Saturday post. To test the new subscriber system we are installing so that the photos will be included with the emails. Any feedback is welcome.

Photo is of very well lit Inukshuk made from stones found in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and returned to their native habitat.

Last Stop

“Always be nice to your children because they are the ones who will choose your retirement home.”

Phyllis Diller

A delicious umbrella drink in Hawaii.

Royals?

I bought this postcard long before Harry and Meghan became Canadians. When I sent it out I wrote that I was envious of their confidence that it would be better to be Canadian than Royal. We shall see.

Mistakes Again

“You can learn from your mistakes, but you don’t have to.”
