Memory

Memory is much, much more unreliable than we all like to think. Pretty much every time someone tells an elaborate story about something that happened to them a long time ago, assume it’s going to be largely untrue.

Paul Bloom, Psychologist

Not Old

“You’re not old, you’re “chronologically gifted.”

Thank you to Terry Campbell, Pueblo Grande Museum (Ret) for this great observation.

Anything Except

”To get back to my youth I would do anything in the world, except exercise, get up early, or be respectable.”

Oscar Wilde

I apologize again to the subscribers who get an email without a photo. The world changes and adapting takes time.

This month I’m featuring photos of Inukshuk I have built/created in the last few years.

This photo was taken in March 2020 BC (Before Covid) when I was still experimenting with multi-stone Inukshuk now I try to restrict myself to five stones. I think they are more elegant and create interesting challenges. You will see plenty of them if you look at SimonBurrow.com this month

Last Stop

“Always be nice to your children because they are the ones who will choose your retirement home.”

Phyllis Diller

A delicious umbrella drink in Hawaii.

Worth It

“The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.”

Will Rogers

American Humorist

Photo is of a flower arrangement at Mama’s Fish House in Paia, Maui, Hawaii

Memories

“The older I get the more clearly I remember things that never happened.”

Mark Twain

Photo is of Brock S and I in 1959 on our bicycle trip around Lake Ontario. Why ask why?
