Thomas Nelson Jr

Brigadier General Thomas Nelson of the Virginia Militia was a hero in the Battle of Yorktown. Upon learning that the British General Cornwallis was using his families mansion as his HQ he called on George Washington to fire artillery at his house. Years earlier he was a member of the Virginia delegation to the Continental Congress and became a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
