This is my second mention of Starbucks in two days. Walking is popular and Starbucks can capitalize on the popularity with a simple plan. All they have to do is create an app called Starbucks Walks that would give guided instructions of the most scenic or interesting walks between or near various Starbucks stores.
Starbucks has almost all of the things that walkers need. Parking, toilets, drinks and a safe familiar place. By adding walking instructions Starbucks Walks would reinforce the idea that it is a great place to meet and start a walk.
For Starbucks the benefits will be increased sales, community good will and a different cohort of customers.
And here is the best part. This is a perfect entrepreneurial opportunity. If you create the app for a few Starbucks and it works and it starts to get some traction Starbucks will buy it from you.
