The Burn a Koran fiasco did raise another idea.  Lets raise $100,000,000 to build a church in Mecca.  It would, at worst, point out the asymmetry of an Iman building a Mosque near ground zero when no reciprocity is allowed.

We can call it a “Christian multicultural study center” and as soon as we raise some money we can start putting pressure on the Saudi Government to let us build.

No evil intent should be deduced from our desire to build the church near Islam holiest shrine.  “We come in peace” will be our message.

Raising the money and pestering the Muslims will give some young people very good jobs for a few years at least.

It might even help bring some freedom and democracy to the Middle East.
