When a robot is asking you to prove you are not a robot,
computers are not simplifying your life.
Computers do lots of simple tasks faster and more accurately than humans. But the human they are organized to help are not the customers. They are designed to lower the transaction cost for the supplier. Much of that cost is absorbed by the computer but some of it is absorbed by the consumer.
