Keep Portland Weird
President Trump is sending federal troops to Portland, Oregon. In what sure appears to be a violation of Posse Comitatus. A law signed in 1878 to limited the use of federal troops in the United States.
I am usually sanguine about current politics but it appears that the president is choosing to ignore the law to enforce his violation of the 4th Amendment’s prohibition against illegal search and seizure.
This is so wrong. We were in Portland two weeks ago and it appeared to be calm and safe.
