Pasteur’s is a more elegant way of saying “luck comes at the intersection of preparation and opportunity.” I subsequently added two more requirements: you have to be aware that you are at the intersection and then have the courage to do something about it.
The wall paintings in the photo were definitely made after 1500CE because horses came to the Americas only after the Columbian exchange. The reason for the black dots is disputed.
