”Old age and the wear of time teach many things.”
Sophocles
There are advantages to being old. In some parts of the world they give up their seats for you. For us this summer people gave us seats on the subways in NYC but not on the tram in Yosemite NP or on the Skytrain at Phoenix airport. It is too small of a sample to judge but it does make you think. This post is being made while we are in Japan where they have a reputation for politeness. I will let you know my experience when we return.
The photo is of the Roman Aqueduct in Caesarea, Israel. I took it on our last visit there and I thought it fit well with a Sophocles quote and is some relief from the petroglyph photos I keep posting.
