The Long Barrow

The short Burrow explores the Long Barrow.

Neolithic Interest group? My interest in prehistoric human constructions began with Stonehenge. And it is a passing interest. When traveling if we are near a site. I argue to go there. there usually not much to see but it is uncrowded and it doesn’t take much information to be the best informed person in the room.

The Long Barrow is at the top of a hill and all the experts agree that it is 4000+/- years old and contained human remains. It is very near Silbury Hill the largest man made mound yet discovered in Europe. Its purpose is unknown. It is an easy day trip from London.
