Adjective: In-between, in transition, in an early stage of development.

Example: “Since they were freshmen their grasp of long term consequences was liminal.”

Pronunciation

Evening in Boston in June. Sunset, gas fires, the Charles River and lots of people caught in liminal summer. I took the picture in an attempt to capture all of the different lights.
