The photo was taken at the Huntington Gardens in Pasadena during one of our rehabilitation walks there in August. Expect more flower photos over the next few weeks.

We made it to Oregon the apogee of our summer heat escape marathon. It explains why I missed a few days of posts this week. Perhaps we were the heat source. The heat wave followed us to Santa Fe, to Pasadena and then up through California. Finally we arrived in McMinnville and it is cool and rainy. What a relief.
