WWIT about Iran Attacking Saudi Arabia

WWIT
Economic Sanctions are Acts of War

The USA is imposing economic sanctions on Iran as a response to this weeks missile attack on oil process facilities in Saudi Arabia. They are seen in the US as a measured response to an act of war by Iran or its proxies. In Iran the sanctions and the ones that proceeded them are seen as an acts of war.
Trade is vital to any but the most primitive economy and when anyone disrupts trade on the receiving end it feels like an act of war. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in large part because we stopped their source of oil. Other examples include Cuba, BDS and North Korea and every nation that is subject to the Trump administrations trade policies.
Economic warfare is still warfare. We should expect that those we use it against will fight back with whatever means they have available.
