Happy Boxing Day

Boxing Day is celebrated in the British Commonwealth as a bank holiday.

It traditionally was the day that the servants got off work and were given Christmas gifts.  It is a nice tradition and a reminder that if in the holiday rush you forgot to remember any of your “service providers” you still have an opportunity.  Some might even call it an obligation.

We don’t have full time servants any more.  Now we have specialist servants.  Like manicurists, hairstylists, trainers, car washes, dog groomers, gardeners, cleaning ladies, plumbers and many more. They are all available to serve us.  Don’t forget your dry cleaner, your kids tutor, your barista, and all of the cooks and waiters at the restaurants you frequent.  Treat them well all the time but especially on Boxing Day.
