As you read this I should be in Lone Pine or Whitney Portal getting ready to start the Mt Whitney hike. We are planning to leave at 10 pm tonight September 8th to enter the Whitney Zone at about midnight and to hike through the night. This will maximize the amount of time we have on the mountain.
