One of the great pleasures of our lives is that we have the time and almost enough money to buy beautiful things.  A few years ago we started looking for an oil painting of the Golden Hills of central California.  Kind of like this:

On our trip to Paso Robles we went on up to Carmel to look in the galleries there for the Golden Hills painting.  We didn’t find the perfect one but we did come close.  We ended up buying these two small oil on board paintings by Richard Tette at the Nancy Dodds Gallery:
