One of the great pleasures of visiting the UK is that it is almost the same as the USA. But in the margins there are subtle differences which generally make me smile. Some of these differences showed up in the signs:
Is this a street?
Where do the regular pelicans cross?
This may just be an illustration of the Urban/Rural divide
The sign above this display of reproduction statues reads:
“Please keep your receipt….. This does not effect your statutory rights.”
It is a pun in a sign in a retail store. I have never seen that in a store in the USA
and finally:
a nonsequitur?
