The Founders: Abraham Clark

Abraham Clark was another of the signers of the Declaration of Independence who never achieved greatness. But his support for the document gave the great leaders like Jefferson, Washington and Adams the courage to make it happen.

Clark was a lawyer, surveyor and legislator. He was known as the “peoples lawyer” because he was willing to take poor men’s cases.
