This project of finding pictures of the Founding Fathers and matching them with quotes is not going as well as I had hoped. It is reminiscent of The Dog That Didn’t Bark, The founding years from 1775 to 1790 are seen as massively important but for most of the men and women living through them their day to day lives consumed most of their time. The ones who saved their papers took on much more importance, while those who didn’t save them or had them destroyed by the ravages of time are not well remembered.
