Photo is from the top of Piestewa Peak, formerly Squaw Peak, it is the tallest mountain in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and also one of the most popular. Every morning a man carries his drum to the top of the peak and welcomes the dawn with some drumming. He has a following and on Christmas morning Steve G and I hiked up and saw the end of the ceremony. Life is good.
