Oregon Travel

It was the height of the short tourist season on the Oregon Coast when we visited. We stayed by the bridge in Newport and we experienced blowing glass. We also ate great food, the best meal was at Beck in Depot Bay. And we had daily walks to various scenic places on the coast including a lighthouse, a ghost forest, a Beaver Creek and the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Below are some pictures and my thoughts on why this trip worked better than many.

This trip worked because we played small ball. we didn’t try to see the Mona Lisa. We were able to adjust because we didn’t have a rigid schedule. The only time it felt crowded was when we went to the port in Newport and had to find parking and then wait for a seat at a restaurant. And there was the beauty of the bridge and the joy of the glass blowing experience. Life is good.
