On Thursday I hiked in Dreamy Draw with the Leisure Hikers a Brandeis Study Group. It was a beautiful day with a very nice group of hikers. The wildflowers are starting to bloom as shown in the photo above. These are California Poppies.

Confirmation of the story comes from the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. Hatters were thought to be mad because they worked with mercury to make felt hats and it made them loopy (before it killed them).
