Three Day Wine

One evening you open a bottle of wine and drink a glass. It is delicious. The next night the wine is not quite as good and by the third night the wine is almost undrinkable. You drink it anyway because you really need the alcohol to help forget your day at work but that is another story. Recently it happened to me and the idea of Three Day Wine was born.I know that there are devices that with a little work and expense will keep the wine fresh. I already own these devices but don’t use them.

Suppose that you could create a delicious wine that stayed delicious three days after opening without requiring pumps and plungers you would have a market.  Is it possible? The wine experts I know (Norman and Bob) said it can’t be done. I propose that we need to “think outside the bottle.”

People are selling wine in retortable pouches, in boxes and in plastic bags. And some of it is not bad. A high quality wine in presentation, position and marketing that claims to be good for three days after opening would sell a lot of units to people who had the problem. If it delivered on its promises they would buy it again.

I’m giving you this idea. Go for it.
