Frank Lloyd Wright is a big name in 20th century architecture in the the USA and a half dozen or so structures in and around Phoenix were designed by him. I’ve visited three of them and they each have fountains.
At Taliesin West his “winter camp” in the north east area of the valley the design includes several fountains and reflecting pools.
Taliesin was built during the depression with no money but the water features serve to soften the often harsh lines of the rustic structures.
