If you have been to an airport in the last decade you have seen and perhaps used a moving walkway. It is hard to imagine that there is anyone who hasn’t been on an escalator. Most people just take the ride. I’m the Ideapreneur so when I ride them I think about how they could be improved.
Riding moving walkways is pretty safe, very efficient and ubiquitous. At the end of the long moving walkways there is often a voice that warns you your near the end. This warning could be improved. A vibrating mechanism could be installed near the end so that the rider had a haptic (sense of feel) warning that it was time to move.
This is one of those orphan good ideas that probably isn’t patent-able. It would definitely make everyone’s life marginally better but nobody can make any money from it except the escalator company that installs it first.
Action idea if you know someone in the escalator business give them this idea. We’ll all benefit eventually.

If it could be patented you could get it required by code and then license the competitors.
