Liberals want to raise taxes on the “rich” to balance the budget and keep spending.

Conservatives want the government to balance the budget by “cutting services for other but not for me.”

I propose that we have a new entertainment tax on media companies.  Lets make it one percent of all revenue at all media companies.  Cable companies, sports teams, TV, radio, video games, magazines, newspapers and movies.  Since most of these companies are run by liberals they won’t object to this new luxury tax.

Of course if they do object they will be exposed as hypocrites.  It seems like a win-win for the taxpayers.

btw After we get done with this failed idea we will have still have to have entitlement reform.  The future growth of Medicare and Social Security has to be constrained.  Anybody that tells you differently is drinking the koolaid.
