Charisma

Last night we went to the beautiful wedding of Nurit’s childhood friends daughter in Sausalito. I spent some time during the cake cutting talking to another guest about connections and jobs. He runs a successful commercial real estate company in the Bay Area and expressed (remember we were drinking and talking to strangers) that he sometimes worried that charisma couldn’t carry his company forever. I told him a story that I had heard from Andy B. on a dive trip a few years ago. What appears to be charisma is often a person who is willing to adjust their personality to the needs of the situation and if that doesn’t work to adjust again and perserver. So what appears to the world as charisma is often a person who who is willing to change and keep trying.
