I hope you are enjoying the pond transition as much as I am.

Beautiful lilies Simon. Is this in your garden? Malcolm and I built a small pond last year in the corner of our garden and absolutely love it. It is it’s own little ecosystem, as you too have discovered. I will send some pictures – actually no I won’t; there’s a whole album on my FB page, I believe entitled ‘where the pond liner lives’. We have since planted lots of ground covering plants to cover up the gaps. The frogs – many – do attract snakes – enough, so we’re just super careful when we walk over there. The water gets a bit murky – any suggestions for cleaning it up?

Yes the lilies are in our garden. To clean up the murk I do two things I have a small (16w?) uv filter and I grow water hyacinths in the small stream. I am the god of the pond but not a particularly dependable one. More like one of the greeks than Allah or Jahway.
