Is one step closer to the Rose Parade.

The idea which was introduced on this blog has been accepted as a contender in the Next Big Jewish Idea contest being run by the LA Jewish Federation.  The winners will get grant money to get their ideas started.  You can help by clicking on this link reviewing some of the ideas and then voting for An Israeli High School Marching Band in the Rose Parade

If done correctly two thousand people in the LA area and the same number in Israel will be directly involved and there sense of community and connection to each other will increase.  Additionally a million Jews in the USA will feel a sense of pride that we could pull this off.  And most important Israel will be mentioned in sentences that don’t include the words “settlements” or “terrorists.”
