In Pasadena when the storm ended we could see the mountains and there was snow down to the 4000 foot level. I took this not very good picture to prove it to you:

Because snow is beautiful, and carpets the ground in a lovely white blanket, and makes the world very, very quiet, and lines every tree branch, and adds a softness and purity to everything.
