Living Well

The improvements in the way we live since the enlightenment in the 1700s have been phenomenal. Yet to our hunter/gatherer brains they feel wrong. So we resent the super-rich and the cultural elite and the government workers. We are tribal and hierarchical by nature and the Liberal Democratic Capitalism that we created only 300 years ago has delivered the goods but feels wrong.

I have been struggling with the last word of this phrase: “Never have so many lived so well for so long and been so: Stressed, Anxious, Unsettled, Ungrateful.”

Help me out here.
