The Founders: Richard Henry Lee

Richard Henry Lee was a founding father. His proposal in June 1776 for independence, known as the “Lee Resolution,” was the catalyst for the Declaration of Independence in July of the same year, the subsequent war and eventually the United States. Today he is mostly remembered as a relative of Robert E Lee. So it goes.
