To Be Remembered

“I prefer to be remembered for what I have done for others, not what others have done for me.”

Thomas Jefferson

Jefferson, like his contemporaries, was blind to the horror of chattel slavery. But he was profoundly prescient about the direction we should be going. And he wrote the Declaration of Independence.

The photo was taken by me about eight years ago but the location is lost.
