“It took me my whole life to learn to draw like a child.”
Pablo Picasso
Picasso spent his formative years in Barcelona before moving as a teenager to Paris, where he became arguably the most influential mid 20th century artist. Our tour taught us about his early life and our, very good guide, also showed us what a misogynist he was. If he were alive today he would probably be in jail with Harvey Weinstein.
I am creating this post aboard our cruise ship. We shall see. The photo is of a mural based on a Picasso sketch. After the Spanish Civil War he refused to return to Spain.
We dressed wrong for the first event on the ship, failure to read the instructions. I did get a very nice sunset photo. And we had a lovely dinner. Life is good.
