S’edav Va’aki

The new name is from the historic O’Odham name for the site. At first I thought it was a bad idea but I came around to the idea that Shakespeare expresses so well. It is not the name that is important it is what the name means to people.

Pueblo Grande, now the S’edav Va’aki Museum is chronically short of resources. It is dependent on the city for finances and is enmeshed in the cities bureaucracy so even changing a lightbulb is difficult endeavor.

I have an idea that could make S’edav Va’aki into one of the premier museums in the Phoenix area. It would be self supporting, independent and deeply respectful of the Native American cultural heritage. I will be posting the parts of the plan over the next few weeks. It is unlikely to happen in my lifetime but remember you read it here first.
