This week’s Zen quote requires a little bit more explanation. Zen Friday is a new feature of simonburrow.com and it will run for a few months thanks to the book Zen to Go by Jon Winokur. My selection process is simple. I’m looking for short one-liners that might give someone an aha moment. Sometimes I shorten them, fix the translation or take out the sexist or racist language that was part of the culture when the quote was written.
The tree was in the parking lot of a Walmart in central Pennsylvania where we stopped for a bathroom break and a photo. I have no idea what type of tree it is.
