Words Seldom Seen: Piqued

Pique

Verb: Stimulate or arouse interest.

Example: “The reflecting pool piqued his interest.”

Piqued is the past tense of pique but is the more common usage.

Another example: “The glass balls are in the pool to pique your interest.”
