Zarf

Noun: A holder for a coffee cup to keep you from burning your fingers. Historically they were made out of metal. The disposable paper cup called for the invention of the disposable corrugated cardboard zarf. It is a Turkish word adapted into English.

Example: “For really hot coffee it may be necessary to double zarf.”
