Maybe the big issue is the rules of engagement. If you want there to be birds in your yard. you put up a bird feeder. If you want to keep bears out of your neighborhood you take away the food supply. If you want to stop skateboarding you put up snags. If you want to slow down traffic you put in speed bumps. If you want to stop people sleeping under the freeway you make it difficult to sleep under the freeway.
My issue with homelessness is not it’s effect on me. It is the effect it has on the working poor. It is their neighborhoods where the homeless are concentrated. There are very few homeless in Beverly Hills or Paradise Valley.
