After being closed for three months for the Covid Crisis the Pueblo Grande Museum is reopening in early July. I’m hoping to be asked back as a docent. It struck me as a good omen that the photo above bears a striking resemblance to this one from Stonehenge taken in the same era but on a different continent.
Apparently “sensible shoes” were not a requirement at either venue. And what about the four young women?

Simon, I guess young women liked to travel even then. My mother in the mid 1930s borrowed her mom’s car and drove from Savannah to LA, Catalina Isand and up the west coast. Three other young school teacher, they were all early to mid 20 years old, traveled with her. Four looks like the number from our three data points. I wish we had pictures from my mom’s trip.
