I tried to take some pictures that would illustrate how far out of line California’s priorities seem to be at this rest area near Palm Springs. They have enough money to replace the trash bins (they didn’t quite finish the job) but don’t have the resources to keep the bathrooms from being trashed and closed.

It isn’t the reason we left California but it is a contributing factor.
