Book Review: First, Sandra Day O’Connor

First, Sandra Day O’Connor

by Evan Thomas

Sandra Day O’Connor was the first woman on the Supreme Court. She was nominated by Ronald Reagan and was confirmed by an overwhelming majority in the Senate. This is her story as told by Evan Thomas. In in Justice O’Connor is shown to be a down to earth hero. She appears to be a pragmatic honest person with a love of family, the law and the west. It makes me proud to be living in the same state as her. I highly recommend this book if you are not a partisan person. Partisans on both sides will find the book too kind.
