About a week ago I heard a talking head say something to the effect that “this is the most important election in a generation.”
I counter predict. After this election nothing much will change before the next election.I can predict, with great certainty, that during the next election cycle someone will say that “this is the most important election in a generation.”
Even the issues don’t change very much.
The election is five days from now and I’ve already voted. Be sure you vote to counteract my vote.

I agree that the large wheels of Government will probably not change– but a change of leadership at the top could certainly change the mood of our country– The party of Trump, which used to be called the Republican party, enables the despicable behavior of our President. ( I know there are those few exceptions like Paul Ryan saying that birthright is in the constitution) In an interview yesterday DT said himself, that he keeps up his fire and fury because it got him to be president. and I am sure you have seen him say on TV more than once “I am president and you are not” So if one house of the congress flips — he will at least have part of a branch of government attempting to be a check and balance — which is what the founding fathers tried to accomplish from day one.
In the State legislature I believe lots CAN change. Right now its only conservative ideas all the time. If one chamber flips then liberal ideas will have to be considered or nothing will pass. The most likely will be the commitment AZ makes to education funding. We may go from being at the bottom of the US barrel in education funding up a few notches in the ladder. To me that would be a big change
