An Italian Country Scene
We went to see the Roman town of Spello on a Sunday and, serendipitiously, happened to get there on ascension day. They have a famous festival that day where they make street art out of flower petals. It was like the Rose Parade Floats run over in the road.
Corpus day in Spello
One of the things we saw again on this trip was how religions try to absorb their predecessors. This Roman Temple in Assisi was turned into a Christian Church.
