These are my list of memorable lines from Neilan’s nihilistic book Apathy. It is a short and entertaining view into a mind that I hope is much different than yours.
Mockery when done without prejudice or discretion can be a form of respect.
There are no good samaritans in the men’s room.
You think I’m introspective but I’m really just self-absorbed.
When something awful and shameful, like locking up the Japanese in WWII can be remembered and acknowledged and atoned for just by slapping up a few statues and plaques everybody wins.
Fact and reason are nothing against a good slogan.
No one can argue against a good bumper sticker.
Two wrongs don’t make a right but sometimes they make a joke.
