Lillian and I were discussing New Years resolutions and she said she had heard that instead of a specific goal like “go to the gym every day” you chose as your resolution a word or phrase that shows a direction you want to go.
Later she told me she had chosen as her word for 2016 “Act.” I think it’s a good choice for her.
For my word I wanted something that slows me down, that allows me to not feel responsible for whatever is going on but to still be engaged. I finally settled on “Steeping.” As in “steeping a cup of tea.” I’m planning a year where I still give my flavor to the world by osmosis not by actively working at it.
