Speaking for Effect

If you speak slowly and softly with regular pauses, people will presume that what you are saying is wise. Even the crustiest platitude sounds profound if delivered using this technique.

This effect was first first pointed out to me by John C. He had noticed it last week in the Popes speeches.  I immediately saw how true it was.  Think about how the Dalai Lama speaks.  So speak more slowly and more softly and your perceived wisdom will increase.
